Please see the below membership form, it is important to remember that this needs to be filled out prior to the season starting.
After a summer break Nomads get back to training from 7:30-8:30 on Wednesday.
Hopefully you all had time to catch a little of the Olympics with the GB Women winning Gold for the 1st time.
I will be linking in a few videos in the coming week to try and show highlights of some of the best bits.
For those that may be interested in either starting Hockey again or potentially learning for the 1st time please use the Contact form. New players are always welcome and we can also provide some equipment to borrow for people who would like to try out a session or 2 before making a decision
With the new season fast approaching it is time to announce a number of changes to Nomads Hockey club that have taken place behind the scenes.
Firstly we would like to thank Sarah Mutimer who has stepped down as 2nd team captain after a number of years. Sarah has been a real driving force for Nomads as we moved from a club with only Adult players to one that now has both a great mix of Senior and Junior players.
In her place Emily Genee has stepped up to assume the role of 2nd team captain, she will be supported by David "Banjo" Stearn and Matt Cooper as 2nd team coaches.
There is also change with the 1st team with Laura Besnard stepping down as 1st team captain but retaining her position as club president.
Ciara McQuaid has agreed to take on the 1st team captaincy and will be assisted by a coaching team of Alan Morris and Jamie Bolton.
Congratulations to all award winners for the 2015/16 season,
Nomads 1st team Player of the Season - Joni Gorman
Nomads 2nd team Player of the Season - Emily Genee
Nomads Most Improved Senior Player - Kirstin Davies
Nomads Most Improved Junior Player - Jess Watling
Nomads Top Goalscorer(All Teams) - Erin Moffett with 11 goals including an amazing 6 in 1 match

For the 2nd year in a row Nomads went into the Herve Shield development tournament with a young side both from 1st team available and 2nd team players.
Although the individual results did not always reflect it the team performed strongly with a squad that contained only 2 players over 18. Throughout the whole day the team looked to play good hockey with a number of players performing well in unfamiliar positions and showing positive signs for the future of both Nomads and Jersey Hockey
With only a few games played so far the Nomads Top Goalscorer trophy is interestingly poised. With 8 goals scored there are already 7 different scorers
As with previous seasons totals exclude Herve Shield
Abbie Le Marquand
Well done to the below players who won awards last season
1st team player of year. Ciara McQuaid
2nd team player of year. Lilly Wysmuller
Most improved senior. Steph Edge
Most improved junior. Emily Genee
Top goal scorer. Joni Gorman
Having won 1 and lost one of their opening 2 games Nomads with both teams missing a few regulars.
The 1st 10 minutes were fairly even with neither side creating clear chances and the game mostly played in the midfield. However as the half went on a strong press from Nomads put the Quackers midfield and defence under increasing pressure.
Nomads took the lead when a broken down short corner fell to Trudy Dillon-Nugent who finished well on her reverse for a rare goal.
The 2nd half continued in a similar fashion but despite a number of short corners it took a mazy run and finish Ciara McQuaid to extend the lead.
Nomads then held out the remainder of the match to complete a 2nd successive win and clean sheet.
